Hampton Police arrested two men in connection with Kensington Drive shooting

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) Investigators have arrested two men who they say are responsible for a robbery and double shooting that happened last week. 

On Thursday, November 17th, dispatchers received several calls alerting them to a shooting on the 1900 block of Kensington Drive. 

When officers got to the scene, they located two men outside of a house suffering from gunshot wounds. Both of the victims were taken to the hospital and treated for their wounds and are expected to be okay. 

Investigators now say that they believe 20 year-old Demetrius Xavier Benthall and 25 year-old Kaseon Lee attempted to force their way into the victim's home.

According to Hampton Police, there was a struggle between the two suspects and victims and that's when the shots were fired. 

Demetrius Xavier Benthall has been charged with one count of Burglary while Armed, and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. 

Kaseon Lee has been charged with one count of Burglary while Armed, and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
