Police identify man killed in shooting at Hampton apartment complex

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Hampton police have identified a man who died Tuesday after being found shot multiple times at an apartment complex.

At 9:15 p.m., multiple calls came in to police reporting a shooting at the Colonial Landing Apartments located in the 2100 block of Kecoughtan Road.

Officers arrived to find 60-year-old Gregory Lee Lewis, of Hampton, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside one of the apartment buildings. He was pronounced dead on the scene by fire and rescue crews.

Police are continuing to investigate the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting.
