Three women hurt in drive-by shooting in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are looking for the people who shot three women who were standing in front of a home in Wythe.

Officers said the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. on September 16.

The women were standing in front of a house in the 600 block of Kentucky Ave. when three cars approached them. People in the cars started firing, then left.

Medics took women to the hospital. The women's injuries were not life-threatening.

One of the cars involved was stolen from Newport News. Police recovered it after it crashed a short distance from the site of the shooting.
