Marcus Vick arrested for drug possession in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Officers arrested former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, 32, on one count of possession of a schedule 1 or 2 drug in Newport News over the weekend.

Shortly before 4:45 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 8, patrol officers were investigating a drug complaint in the 2200 block of Radius Way. As officers approached the door, they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the apartment.

Officers identified Mr. Vick and advised him that he was being detained.

They asked Vick if they could come inside and he said, "No." However, once inside, the officers arrested four other male occupants inside the apartment.
