NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A house fire in Norfolk turned dangerous... and not just for the people who were inside the home at the time.
It started in a two-story duplex on West Little Creek Road just after 1 a.m. Monday. Fire officials tells us two adults in the home suffered minor smoke inhalation.
Medics took one of them to a hospital, along with a firefighter who suffered minor injuries.
Three of those displaced are staying with family. The others are being taken care of by the Red Cross.
The cause of fire remains under investigation.
