Two houses catch fire in Norfolk as crews call for 2nd alarm

One home was fully engulfed, while flames spread to a second home.

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Fire crews are on scene of house that became engulfed in flames on Friday afternoon.

The home is in the 600 block of West 29th Street.  Firefighters called for a 2nd alarm after the flames spread to an adjacent home. Both are two-story residences. The fire has since been brought under control.

It's not clear if anyone was in the second home at this time.
