King of bikes talks glow-in-the-dark lanes

Philip Townsend sits down with Norfolk cycling advocate Andy Hund.

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC)—13News Now Reporter Philip Townsend talked to Norfolk’s unofficial king of bikes about new glow-in-the-dark bike lanes in the city.

A new non-profit is trying to raise money to make the glowing lanes possible, but it’s too soon to tell how long it will take before it’s a reality.

Andy Hund is the man behind Hund’s Recycling Factory on Colley Avenue, and he supports the idea even in its conceptual phase.

“You have a fully illuminated path,” said Hund. “And it's like every night you get to ride the light show."
