Norfolk man charged, accused of stabbing brother during argument

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A 19-year-old has been taken into custody following a stabbing, Wednesday.

The teen is facing a charge of malicious wounding, after officials found his older brother stabbed in the 2400 block of Middle Ave. 

Police responded to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing just after 1:10 p.m. 

When emergency crews arrived on scene they found a 26-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a local area hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to be okay. 

19-year-old Stefan Freeman was taken into custody at the scene and is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond. 

Police have not said what started the argument that led to the stabbing.
