Pedestrians involved in crash in Norfolk.

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Three people are in the hospital after a two-vehicle accident that took place Thursday morning on Terminal Boulevard.

Around 9:40 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Terminal Boulevard and Diven Street for a report of a vehicle accident.

Daniel Hudson with Norfolk Police says a preliminary investigation found that a Dodge pickup truck was heading eastbound on Terminal Boulevard when it was struck by a Honda sedan that was traveling north on Diven Street, attempting to make a right turn onto Terminal Boulevard.

The impact caused the Dodge pickup truck to spin and flip onto the median, striking two Midasco employees who were working there.

Both men were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

The man inside the truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The woman driving the Honda sedan was not injured.

There were no other passengers and no other injuries were reported.

Terminal Boulevard was closed while authorities removed both vehicles, as well as debris. Shortly before 12:30 p.m. police tweeted that the roadway had reopened.

The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
