Police: Robber targets two Norfolk 7-Eleven stores in one night

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Norfolk police are searching for a robbery suspect.

Police say the first incident happened around 12:10 a.m. at the store located at 124 Maple Avenue

The clerk told police that the man entered the store, said he had a weapon and demanded money. 

The suspect allegedly ran away when he did not get any cash. 

Less than 30 minutes later, police were alerted to a robbery at the 7-Eleven at 3805 Colley Avenue. 

Police say during the second robbery, the clerk complied with the man's demand and handed over money. 

The suspect is described as a black man around  6’ tall. He was last seen wearing a ski mask, black jacket with fur around the hood and blue jeans with white spots.

 Police are asking anyone who recognizes this robbery suspect to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
