Man wanted for murder in Portsmouth arrested in New Jersey

Surveillance footage has given some clues as to who shot a man in a parking lot Friday evening.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Members of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested a person wanted for murdering a man outside of a convenience store.

Investigators said Stanlee S. Jones shot 34-year-old Curtis A. Richardson at Essex Food Store at 2406 High Street on August 18. Richardson died.

U.S. Marshals arrested 33-year-old Jones in Newark, N.J. on August 31. Police brought him back to Portsmouth on September 15.

Jones is in the Portsmouth City Jail.
