One arrest, second suspect sought in Suffolk robbery

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Police say they have arrested one person in connection to a robbery, and are asking for the public's help to find a second suspect.

Investigators say that back on the night of October 8, the victim was at a party in the 800 block of Longstreet Lane when two unknown men at the party forcefully took two guns belonging to the victim, threatened the victim, and also fire a shot at his vehicle as the victim was leaving.  No one was hurt in the incident.

Suffolk Police say they have now arrested 19-year-old Nigel Rashid Haywood Ward of Portsmouth, and charged him with robbery, shooting or throwing missiles at an occupied vehicle, use or display of a firearm in commission of a felony, and attempt to commit a non-capital offense.  Ward is currently being held at Tidewater Regional Jail.

Police are now searching for 20-year-old Jaquan Rashawn Myrick of Courtland, who is also wanted on the same charges.

If you know of Myrick's whereabouts, you're asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
