Six people displaced due to fire in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Emergency crews were called to a house fire, Tuesday morning. 

The fire occurred in the 100 block of Oakdale Terrace just before 5 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived on scene, five minutes after receiving the call, they saw light smoke coming from the home. 

The people living in the home were evacuated when firefighters arrived. 

The fire was confined to a small room, at the front of the home. It was under complete control by 5:41 a.m. 

The home sustained smoke damage. The American Red Cross will be helping the three adults and three children that were displaced due to the fire. 

No one was injured in this fire.
