Brazen burglar connected to second break-in

It appears a man has been caught a second time breaking into a house in Virginia Beach.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police have connected a second burglary to a suspect who was previously seen on home surveillance video breaking into a Virginia Beach home.

The latest happened on October 30 in the 900 block of Wildflower Court.

A man is seen going through the backyard of a Yvonne Nash's home and trying to break into a window.

"I really don't want to go in the house anymore unless someone is home," said Nash.

He didn't get away with anything, Nash explained, but she recognized the man's face from a previous Facebook video and told police.

"It was the same guy," Nash said.

Around 2 p.m. on October 30, a home in the 1200 block of Gladiola Crescent had its garage door kicked in.

Home surveillance video shows what appears to be a man breaking down a garage door and wandering around the house.

The intruder goes into a home office and uses a flashlight to search through the family's belongings.

Michelle Wiggs had to get a whole new alarm system for her home.

"It's maddening. It still makes me angry because he did this to someone else," Wiggs said.

Virginia Beach Police say that around that same time, the suspect also burglarized Nash's home.

One of the surveillance images clearly shows the man has a tattoo on his left hand.
