CVS robbery suspect arrested, charged in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A man is behind bars after allegedly robbing a CVS Pharmacy in Virginia Beach Thursday morning.

Tonya Pierce with Beach Police said the robbery happened at the store located at 2232 General Booth Blvd. around 2:30 a.m.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Patrick James O'Toole, entered the store, approached the pharmacy, handed an employee a note and demanded narcotics. The employee complied with the demand and O'Toole fled the scene, Pierce said.

No one was injured.

An officer found O'Toole nearby a short time later.

O'Toole has been charged with robbery and is being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.
