Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A pedestrian died Friday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle.

Emergency dispatchers received the call about the incident at Virginia Beach Boulevard and Thalia Road around 3 p.m.

Police had shut down the westbound lanes of the Virginia Beach Boulevard at Kentucky Avenue, but all lanes were reopened around 6:15. 

Police identified the victim as 75-year-old Jack Lehman of Virginia Beach.

The Virginia Beach Police Department's Fatal Crash Team is investigating. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
