VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) - Two adults, as well as their two pets were unharmed after a fire broke out in their Virginia Beach home on Saturday afternoon.
According to a fire department spokesperson, this fire was reported to dispatch at around just before 5 p.m.
When first responders arrived at the location in the 1900 block of Big Oak Court in the Rock Creek subdivision, they found heavy fire coming from a single family home. The residents and their pets had already gotten out of the home by the time firefighters arrived.
The fire was under control in about 10 minutes. The spokesperson described the damage as moderate. He said the home next door also received some minor damage as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and is under investigation. There were no injuries to emergency personnel or civilians.
