Two Navy sailors charged with arson in Va. Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Two Navy sailors from the USS George Washington are charged with arson.

Virginia Beach Fire Department investigators say Timothy Warren Wright II, 24, and Tre'Von Jabri Bishop, 21, torched an abandoned car on April 4. 

Firefighters found the 2016 Dodge Charger when responding to a possible brush fire at Berknor Drive and Prosperity Road. 

Wright was taken into custody by Portsmouth Police and released on an unsecured bond. He is charged with Arson of Personal Property and Conspiracy. 

Bishop was taken into custody by Virginia Beach Fire Department investigators along with agents from NCIS. He was released on a $3,000 bond. 

Bishop will appear in court on August 3.
