NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- At the MacArthur Center on Saturday a world record was broken.
Norfolk now holds the record for the world's longest cycling class, beating New Zealand's previous record.
The event was led by the YMCA South Hampton Roads.
More than a dozen cyclists took part in cycling for 25 hours and 15 minutes. They beat the old record by 13 minutes.
The event also raised money to give about 2,500 local kids free swimming lessons at the YMCA.
The group started at 6 p.m. Friday and wrapped up at 7 p.m. Saturday.
