ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WVEC) -- Police in Elizabeth City are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who robbed a check-cashing business at gunpoint earlier this week.
Officers responded to Friendly Check Cashing located in the 900 block of West Ehringhaus Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 after receiving a report of an armed robbery.
According to police, a black male suspect threatened to kill a store employee while demanding money. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as being six feet tall, last seen wearing aviator-style sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and gloves with a skull print.

In addition to a Crime Line reward, Friendly Check Cashing is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspects involved.
