Police: Man pointed gun, threatened two women in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police arrested a man who threatened and pointed a gun at two different women on June 12 and 13.

According to police, Antoine Harris, 29, from Richmond threatened his sister on June 12 during a dispute they were having over money.

The argument at the intersection of Taylor Ave. and 9th Street turned physical. The victim said she was assaulted and strangled by Harris, and his girlfriend had to pull him off her.

When his sister started to call the police, Harris threatened her while pointing a gun at her.

On June 13 at 2 p.m. Harris's girlfriend called the police saying Harris grabbed a black firearm and pointed it at her face threatening to kill her during an argument.

Antoine Harris would not allow his girlfriend to leave.

Police arrested Harris in the 600 block of Ridley Circle on outstanding warrants for strangulation, assault and battery on a family member, abduction, and use of firearm in commission of a felony.
