Salvation Army Red Kettle donations down compared to previous years

13News Now Elise Brown has the story.

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- The Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign reported donations are down.

The organization said donations are down about $20,000 from where they usually are this time of the year.

Area Commander James Allison said cold, wet weather from recent weekends likely could be the reason for people not donating as much compared to previous years.

The last day to donate is Dec. 23 at 8 p.m.
