Shooting left one dead another seriously injured in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are investigating a shooting that injured one and killed another Friday night.

Dispatchers received a call about an adult male lying in the street on the 300 block of Gloucester Street at 11:30 p.m..

When police arrived the man was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim has been identified as Anthony Hale, 21, or Suffolk. 

Another man, Brandon Hudgins, 26, of Suffolk was found by investigators just after midnight lying next to a residence on the same block.

Hidgins was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to police the investigation is still ongoing and there is no suspect or motive at this time.
