Two critically injured in single vehicle accident in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Police say two people were seriously injured in a single vehicle accident in Suffolk. 

The crash happened in the 7800 block of South Quay road near Elwood road around 9:24 p.m on Oct. 1.

Suffolk police say a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling on South Quay road when it flipped several times.

The male and female passenger were ejected from the vehicle. 

Both victims were trapped under the car but were removed and airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation.
