Two men arrested for bank robbery in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Marquis Larosa Buckley, 40, and Austin Lee Howard, 34, have been charged in connection with a bank robbery that took place on Oct. 13.

Police say one suspect entered the PNC bank located at 2422 Princess Anne Road armed with a handgun and a suspicious device. The suspect then fired a shot in the ceiling and demanded money.

As he left, he dropped the suspicious package. No one was hurt and members of the Virginia Beach Bomb Squad later determined the object was not a threat.

Police later located the suspect vehicle and arrested the two.

Buckley is also charged with a slew of charges stemming from a robbery of the Fulton Bank that occurred on Oct. 4 at 3545 Dam Neck Road. During that incident, a suspicious package was also left behind but was later discovered to not be a threat.

Howard and Buckley are being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
