Two men arrested for burglary in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police have arrested and charged two men in connection with a burglary in Newport News. 

On Nov. 2 around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a call for a residential burglary in progress in the 900 block of Lucas Creek Road. 

While in route, police got a description of the suspects and their vehicle.

When the vehicle was located in the 13700 block of Warwick Blvd, police were able to stop the car and arrest the driver. The passenger fled but was later found and detained. 

Patrick Davonte Smith, 25, and Toris Cortez Norman II, 24, are both charged with one count of burglary. Smith is also charged with a probation violation.
