Two vehicle accident in Suffolk, one hospitalized

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A two vehicle accident in Suffolk sent one driver to the hospital Saturday morning.

At 8 a.m. police responded to the 5000 block of Pruden Boulevard.

Investigators determined that the driver of a car pulled out of his driveway and was hit by a pickup truck pulling a trailer.

The driver of the car was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No one in the truck was injured.

Part of the road was closed in both directions for about 1 hour.

The driver of the car with cited for Failure to Yield.

No further information was released.
