Virginia Beach man killed in wrong way crash

NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) A Virginia Beach man was killed and one other person was seriously injured in a wrong way driving crash. 

The crash happened just before midnight on Interstage 64 west bound in New Kent County. 

Investigators say a 2002 Chrysler Sebring was traveling east bound in a west bound lanes when it struck a 2003 Ford Windstar van head on. 

Virginia State Police have identified 25-year-old James Pavlikowski, as the driver of the Chrysler. investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and died on the scene. 

The female driver of the Ford was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators say she was wearing a seatbelt. 

According to Virginia State Police, alcohol is being investigated as a possible fact.
