Eastern Shore's 2017 4th of July events

Eastern Shore of Virginia residents and visitors have lots of Independence Day celebrations available for their enjoyment, including public fireworks display

Cape Charles

July 4th Celebration

Where: Bay Avenue

When: Craft and food vendors are set up all day, with a parade from Bay Avenue to Mason Avenue in the morning. Fireworks after dark at the beach and harbor.

Kiptopeke State Park Independence Day Celebration

Where: Kiptopeke State Park

When: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Parade through the campground begins at 11 a.m.

65th Volunteer Firemen's Carnival

Where: Wachapreague Waterfront

When: Nightly Wednesdays thru Saturdays from June 21 - July 8, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

July 4 Parade and Picnic

Where: Seaside Park

When: Noon to 4 p.m.

Patriotic Band Concert & Ice Cream Social

Where: Market and Weest Streets, Onancock, VA

When: Monday, July 3rd from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Chincoteague Volunteer Fireman's Carnival and Fireworks

Where: 3648 Main Street

When: Sunday, July 1 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for fireworks. The fireman's carnival will run every Saturday and Sunday for the month of July
