VIDEO: Crews douse construction truck that went up in flames in Courtland

A construction truck caught fire in Courtland, Va. on June 10, 2017.

COURTLAND, Va. (WVEC) -- Several fire departments helped to put out a fire that engulfed a construction truck Saturday.

The fire started around 10:15 a.m. near 21432 Main St. in Courtland. Emergency dispatchers received word that the truck may have been a propane truck and that people heard a number of explosions.

Crews got there and found flames pouring from the truck which was used for line painting.

Courtland Volunteer Fire Department received support from Ivor Volunteer Fire Department, Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department, and Carrsville Volunteer Fire Department.

A hazmat team contained a resulting spill from the incident. There was some damage to a nearby building.
