One dead, another injured in York County shooting

13News Now reporter Jonathan Costen brings you the story.

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) --  One dead and another injured after a shooting Sunday morning.

According to York Poquoson Sheriff's Office, around 8:44 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Mooretown and Ewell Road.

There they found a female was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg. Officials say the injury is non-life threatening.

Authorities also found a male, pronounced dead on the scene.

He has been identified as Raheem Antonia King, 33, of Williamsburg.

According to investigators, this does not appear to be a homicide. They are waiting on the autopsy results to be sure.

According to police, the two parties knew each other.

Mooretown Road was closed from Henderson Towing to the 1st entrance of Ewell Industrial Park, but it has since been reopened.
