Outreach center in need of food for Thanksgiving basket program

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- The Judeo-Christian Outreach Center (JCOC) is asking for donations of food for their Thanksgiving Food Basket Outreach program. 

The JCOC will give these food baskets to individuals and families in need. Over 200 people have signed up for the program this year. 

The JCOC are collecting the following items:

  • Turkeys
  • Mashed or scalloped potatoes, boxed
  • Stuffing mix, bag, or boxed
  • Gravy, dry mix or canned
  • Marshmallows, mini
  • Pumpkin pie filling
  • Sweet potatoes or yams, canned
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Green beans, canned
  • Vegetables, canned

If you are interested in donating, items may be dropped off at the JCOC office or kitchen at 1053 Virginia Beach Blvd. between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Donations will be taken until November 18.
