Police identify woman found dead, continue search for accused killer

Police believe Zorobabel Griggs is responsible for the death of a woman, whose body was found Monday.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police said Wednesday that a woman found dead Monday was 36-year-old Keisa Overby Staton of Chesapeake.

Officers said she and her accused killer, Zorobabel Matthan Griggs, 42, knew each other.

Virginia Beach police found Overby Staton's body in an apartment in the 700 block of Gourmet Way just after 10 a.m. on June 12.

Griggs is wanted on charges of Murder and Use of a Firearm. He is 5'8" tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has a grey goatee/moustache. His head is shaved, and he has a tattoo of "Kayos" on his chest and arm. He also has a scar on his cheek.

Griggs has a history of violence. If you see him, call 9-1-1 immediately.
