Police search for suspect in credit union robbery

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man they say robbed a credit union Tuesday morning. 

The robbery happened at the BayPort Credit Union in the 1400 block of North Main Street just before 10:30 a.m. 

A black man entered the building and handed the teller a note demanding money. Upon receiving the cash, the suspect ran away. 

No one was injured. 

The suspect is described as a black man about 5'9" tall with a mustache and partial goatee. He is between 45 and 50 years of age and weighs between 180 and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and pants, dark colored shoes, and a black ball cap with a New York Yankee logo.
