Police in Va. Beach, Suffolk look to identify robbery suspect

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are asking for the public's help identifying two suspects in a robbery, one of which they described as "strong armed."

A man entered that Beauty Hair Supply store on Virginia Beach Blvd. just before 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 24.

After asking the cashier for help, he knocked the clerk to the ground and ran away without paying.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black man between 35-40-years-old. He has a goatee and eyeglasses, and a lightning bold shaved in his hair.

Another beauty store was robbed by two men the next day, this time in Suffolk. One of those men matched the description of the suspect in the May 24 robbery.

The second robbery happened at the Beauty World on West Constance Road Thursday, May 25.

Two men entered the store and grabbed several high-end hair clippers that were bagged and placed behind the counter. They walked around the store and waited until there were only a couple of people around. Once the store was nearly empty, one of the men grabbed the cashier while the other grabbed the clippers. Both men ran away and were left leaving in a newer model red sedan with tinted winows.

The second man is described as a dark-skinned man with a shaved head and no facial hair. He was wearing a black hat with a small white logo on the front and back, white shirt, dark pants, and tan Timberland boots.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
