Mail gives incorrect absentee voting address in James City County

JAMES CITY COUNTY,  Va. (WVEC) -- Election officials are alerting residents in James City County that mail they might have received contains incorrect information on where to send absentee ballots for next month's state election.

The mail, sent by the Republican Party of Virginia, includes an incorrect address, phone number, and hours for the James City County Voter Registration and Elections Office.

Officials say the correct information is as follows:

The address is 5300 Palmer Lane, Williamsburg, VA 23188.

The office is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The office will also be open Saturday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. for absentee voting.
