School buses carrying students crash in Chesapeake, Hampton

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WVEC) -- Just one day after a deadly school bus crash in Tenn., emergency crews were called to two separate crashes involving school buses, Tuesday.  

The first crash occurred in Chesapeake, near Taylor Rd. and Greendell Rd. just after 3 p.m. 

13 children were on the bus at the time of the collision. They were being taken home from Western Branch Primary School. 

Medics cleared all of the kids at the scene before another bus took them home. 

The school division will review the bus camera footage. 

There is no word on the cause of the accident, or any charges at this time.

The second crash occurred in Hampton, near W. Mercury Blvd. and Power Plant Pkwy. at around 4:30 p.m. 

Seven students were aboard the bus at the time of the crash, they were on their way home from Lindsay Middle School. No one was injured.
