YORK COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) -- Authorities say a person barricaded inside a York County home Thursday morning has been taken into custody.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office was called to the 100 block of Wethersfield Park in the York Crossing subdivision shortly before 12 a.m.
According the organization's Facebook page, a burglary suspect was inside a home and refused to come out.
Deputies tell 13News Now the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Kyle Rhoades, of Yorktown, was found in the attic of the home. He attempted to steal guns from the home.

The incident caused some homes in the area to be evacuated, with residents living east of Constitution Drive being asked to stay indoors. Bus routes in the area were also suspended.
Shortly before 8 a.m., the Sheriff's Office reported Rhoades had been taken into custody without incident. He has been charged with burglary. Additional charges are pending.
