U.S. Marshals arrest man in Norfolk on Maryland murder charges

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- U.S. Marshals arrested a man in connection to several overdose deaths in Maryland Tuesday morning. 

The Fugitive Task Force arrested Desmond Lamar Sloan at a home in the 9000 block of Chesapeake Blvd. 

According to a statement released by the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office in Maryland, Sloan was identified as one of six people indicted for the overdose deaths of six people within the county. 

Sloan is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail.
