Utility work will shut down part of Pacific Ave.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Part of Pacific Ave will be closed due to utility work, starting Tuesday, November 1.

The southbound lanes of Pacific Ave. will be closed between 24th and 25th St. The Department of Public Utilities will be replacing a sanitary sewer gravity main. 

During the closure, traffic will be re-routed to Atlantic Ave. Warning signs will be posted as well to advise drivers prior to the lane closure and detour. 

The closure is expected to last until November 30, when the project is complete, weather permitting.
