VA Wesleyan stays perfect with win

Virginia Wesleyan won their fifth straight to start the season as they beat Lynchburg 69-61.

Virginia Wesleyan stretched their season opening win streak to five with a 69-60 win over Lynchburg Wednesday night at the Batten Center.

The Marlins made a big charge in the first half, paced by Lamont Steward who had 14. Virginia Wesleyan led by 15 at halftime. Corey Pelham came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 15 points.
