Victim tells police he was shot after bumping into suspect's car while walking

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- A 21-year-old man told police he was shot after he accidentally bumped into the suspect's car while walking by it. 

The shooting took place at approximately 1:34 p.m. Sunday, in the 600 block of Newmarket Dr. North. 

Emergency crews found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh and his hand. His injuries are considered to be non-life threatening. 

The victim could not remember any other details about the incident, except that he was shot after bumping into the suspect's car while walking by it. 

No suspect information has been released.
