Water restored, some still without gas at apartment complex in Norfolk

Where some people living without natural gas for more than a week finally once again have service

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Hot water has been restored in the Royal Mace Apartments in Norfolk, but one building is still without gas.

On November 20th, 124 apartment units were without gas, heat and hot water. The issue continued over Thanksgiving weekend.

According to Sandra Winfrey, the Regional Property Manager, hot water is running in both apartment buildings. She said it has been for the past two days.

Gas in the east building has been turned on, and a final repair is underway on Thursday to get the gas back on in both buildings. Gas is expected to be restored completely by Friday, followed by an inspection of the entire complex.
