Richmond Police looking for man who stole underwear from laundromat

Police are searching for a man who stole women's underwear from a Richmond laundromat

RICHMOND, Va. (WVEC) -- Richmond police are searching for a man who stole women's underwear from a laundromat.

Authorities said the suspect, Timothy Lott, 54, was last seen on Friday, October 20. He was at a laundromat in the 300 block of Strawberry Street around 2:40 p.m.. After leaving that facility, he visited several other laundromats in the Fan district.

Lott is suspected of theft from an incident that happened on August 26. Police were told he entered the same laundromat on Strawberry Street and while a load of clothes were in the washer, he took a pair of women's underwear.

After snatching the undergarment, he was seen leaving the building through a back door where he drove away in a blue SAAB sedan.

Police ask anyone who sees Lott to call 9-1-1.

If anyone has any information about these incidents, they are asked to contact detectives at 780-1000.
