Bills' Taylor excited as training camp nears

Hampton native and Bills QB, Tyrod Taylor is looking forward to training camp this month that includes a new head coach.

In a little more than three weeks, NFL training camps will get underway and one player who can't wait to get back to work is Bills quarterback, Tyrod Taylor. The Hampton native was in town last month attending Seahawk safety, Kam Chancellor's Celebrity Weekend and spoke about what's to come as he begins his third season in Buffalo that includes a new head coach in Sean McDermott. He's a former standout at the College Of William & Mary. "It's been a good process. Everyone is still learning the new offense and defense", he says.

Taylor, who played at Virginia Tech, had his 5 year contract extension restructured by the club in March. He comes off a season in which he passed for 3,023 yards to go with 17 touchdowns, and rushed for an additional 580 yards and 6 TD's. The Bills missed out on the post season in 2016, but Taylor still feels they have pieces for a good team to get in the playoffs. "We have a lot of talent on the roster and a lot of potential. We were one game out of it last year, two the year before with some injuries. Not using that as an excuse, but this year we definitely have to make it work."
