CNU comeback sinks VA Wesleyan

The Captains dug out of an 11 point hole in the second half to win this year's rivalry game over the Marlins 71-68.

They only meet once a year on the court and this year CNU made the most of it in their 71-68 win over Virginia Wesleyan.

They're not in the same conference but there is no denying the intensity of this rivalry between schools on opposite sides of the river.

The Captains were out front by 1 at halftime, but midway the through the second half, the Marlins led by 11. CNU's upperclassmen came through in the clutch. Marcus Carter and Spencer Marin made one big basket after another.

Carter led all scorers with 19 points. Both Tyree Golston and Percy Burt had 18 for Virginia Wesleyan.
