Cox baseball prepares for state championships

Cox High School won their only state championship in baseball in 1996. The Falcons are making a run at another title this season.

Cox High School won their only state championship in baseball in 1996. The Falcons are making a run at another title this season.

Cox edged past Western Branch to win the Group 6A regional final last Friday. It was the Falcons first regional title since 2009.

What's it all mean coach? "It means you have a really good team and you've worked really hard and you've won a lot of close games. So, it's special," says Bill Conroy. 

The Falcons are 21-4 headed into the state semifinal game this Friday in northern Virginia.
