Maynor resigns as H.U. football coach

Connell Maynor is stepping aside after a (20-25) record in his four years as the Pirates head football coach.

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Hampton University football head coach Connell Maynor has resigned from his position.

His resignation is effective immediately, and Hampton is searching for his replacement.

“We appreciate all of his contributions to the football program,” said Eugene Marshall II, Athletics Director. “We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Maynor spent the past four years at Hampton, where he compiled an overall record of 20-25.

Assistant Coach Michael Kethem will oversee the football program until another coach is hired.
