Malinowski to transfer from W&M to Georgetown

Greg Malinowski says he will transfer from William & Mary to Georgetown. He becomes the second Tribe player in the last three months to leave the school.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.- He was expected to be a key returning player for the Tribe men's basketball team. Instead, William & Mary has lost their second player in the last three months due to transferring. Greg Malinowski said on his Instagram account that he's leaving the Tribe and transferring to Georgetown University. He'll have to sit out the 2017-18 season but will have one year of eligibility remaining for the Hoyas and first year head coach, Patrick Ewing.

This one is a hit to the Tribe who's already lost its top two scorers in Daniel Dixon and Omar Prewitt to graduation. On top of that, 6-9 center, Jack Whitman also transferred. He's headed to Kansas. Malinowski averaged 7.7 points a game last year and was second on the team in 3-pointers with 52.
