New faces, new places for NSU hoops

The Spartans went 12-4 in the MEAC last year but need to replace their top three scorers. Coach Jones tells us how they will do it.

Robert Jones is in his fourth year as head basketball coach at Norfolk State. His team is always a contender and even though there are plenty of new faces, he expects to be in the mix again this season.

The Spartans top three scorers have moved on and Jones says they'll take a committee approach to replace those numbers.

NSU went 17-17 last year in the MEAC and in the preseason conference coaches polls have them predicted to finish fifth.

Jones says his team will be much better at the end of the season than the beginning when there will be a learning curve.
